Our Father in Heaven
You are the author of my life.
You fill the earth, the sky, and my heart.
I am Your child, and You are pleased with me
for being just the way I am.
All good things come from You.
You may not always give the desires of my heart
and in the way I expect,
but You know what lies at the core of those desires
and what is best for me.
You are with me always.
You live in the light, so when I am enjoying times of blessing, You are there.
You live in darkness so that when I am troubled or feeling alone, You are there.
I can never escape Your love.
Hallowed be Your Name
May Your name always be kept holy and sacred.
You are the source of all that is and that shall be,
May my knowledge of You become ever clearer
that I may know the breadth of Your blessings,
the length of Your promises,
and the depth of Your love.
May Your Kingdom Come
May the way of Your justice
be followed by the people of this world.
And may Your commonwealth of peace and freedom
sustain our hope and stay here on earth.
So that You may continue to rule with Your grace
and enable us to come to Your kingdom
where there is an unclouded vision of You,
a perfect love of You,
a blessed companionship with You,
and eternal enjoyment of You.
May Your Will Be Done On Earth as in Heaven
I ask only that Your will be done in my life.
If it brings joy, then may Your will be done.
If it brings sorrow, then may Your will be done.
You are my strength, and I will run to You.
May all my intentions be directed towards You…
seeking Your glory in everything with my whole strength
and spending all of my energy
in the service of Your love and nothing else.
Give Us Today Our Daily Bread
I need to be led and spiritually fed.
Only You can help me understand and see.
I lay all my hopes, dreams, and ambitions at Your feet,
asking that You take them, bless them, and use them for Your glory.
Grant me the peace of mind I so desperately need,
to remain sane in this inside universe.
And forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us
Forgive me for the many mistakes that I make each day
and help me to forgive those who offend or hurt me with their words or actions.
Let me always remember Jesus’ words as he hung on the cross,
“Father, forgive them for they know not what they do.”
Give me His heart so that I may also forgive others.
Help my pride erase to give others grace,
just as You have given grace to me.
Save us from the time of trial and deliver us from evil.
Hold me close and do not let me yield to temptation
Although it will come from time to time,
I pray that it will not cause me to be led astray.
Be my guide and deliverer.
Strengthen me to endure life’s challenges
to overcome these lifelong obstacles.
Grant me also the courage to stand up for what I believe in,
to express my true opinions without fear.
For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours, now and forever.
May my life bring honour and glory to Your name.
I acknowledge that You are in control of all,
even when it seems that everything is falling apart.
I give You complete control of my life
as well as my thoughts and actions.
I long to honour You in all I say and do
and to remain faithful. Amen.
