Bookkeeper Job Description
Location: Hybrid - Southern California area (mainly remote work with brief travel to Culver City 1-2 times per week)
Status: Part-time, Non-Exempt Hourly Employee (10-20 hours per week)
Compensation: $25-$30 / hour

Responsibilities
Record income & expenses to support overall budgeting & financial reporting
Monitor, record & categorize all financial transactions in QuickBooks Online, PayPal, bank accounts, credit cards, & program registration sheets
Process invoices and payments for all participants, events, reimbursements, refunds, scholarships, donations, & bills
Pick up mail from post office box 1-2 times per week & deposit checks accordingly (Culver City, CA)
Reconcile all accounts regularly & communicate any questions/concerns with the team
Provide & communicate all quarterly & end of year financial reports in a timely manner
Communicate effectively to all parties involved for balances due
Update contact info in QuickBooks Online & Salesforce for participants and donors as needed
Provide donation receipt emails to donors in a timely manner
Provide donation summary reports and/or expense reports as needed to the team
Qualifications
3+ years work experience in bookkeeping and/or accounting
Excellent proficiency in QuickBooks Online, PayPal, & Google (Sheets, Drive, Gmail, etc.)
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel & Salesforce is preferred
Ability to work consistent hours each week between the hours of 9:00 am and 5:00 pm PT
Understanding of budget, accounting, expenses, & allocations
Strong business, time management, detail-oriented & organizational skills
Ability to work effectively individually, as part of a team, & with volunteer coordinators
Professional and clear verbal & e-mail communication skills
Ability to be a take initiative & make informed decisions
